Asking for Help and Directions


Some useful phrases and questions to help people to get help when out asking for directions. For example, when you got lost, how do you say that to someone at first moment. Then ask if he or she can help you. Alternatively, if you met someone who is lost, offer your help to find the way. Some commonly asked questions to the bathroom, or to a certain place like the pharmacy. Listen to the given directions such as going straight, turning left or turning right.

I'm lost
Wǒ mílùle.
我迷路了。

Can I help you?
Yǒu shé me xūyào wǒ bāng nǐ de?
有什么需要我帮你的?

Can you help me?
Nǐ kěn bāngzhù wǒ ma?
你肯帮助我吗?

Where is the (bathroom/ pharmacy)?
(Xǐshǒujiān/yàofáng) zài nǎlǐ?
(洗手间/药房)在哪里?

Go straight! then turn left/ right!
Zhí wǎng qián zǒu! Zuǒ/yòu guǎiwān dào!
直往前走!左/右拐弯到!
