These slides are for upper intermediate level. The first part is an example of the lesson about the words that can possibly be formed from the basic word 'bird' 鸟. The second part is about the proverb 一鸟在手胜过双鸟在林 which means 'A bird in the hand is worth than two in the bush.' in English :)

A bird in the hand is worth than two in the bush means it is better to have a small actual advantage than the chance of a greater one.
