Asking for Help and Directions - Part 2
Some useful phrases and questions to help people to get help when finding their way. For example, when you want to express you are looking for someone, when you want to ask someone to wait a moment. Or when someone on the phone ask you to hold on. Or when you want to ask 'how much' is something. Even the very important basic to prompt before you start to ask a question.
I'm looking for John.
Wǒ zài zhǎo yuēhàn.
我在找约翰。
One moment please!
Qǐng děng yīxià!
请等一下!
Hold on please! (phone)
Qǐng shāo hòu!
请稍后!
How much is this?
这多少钱?
Zhè duōshǎo qián?
Excuse me ...! (to ask for something)
请问!
Qǐngwèn!
